Dr. Elise Shin,

Dr. Elise Shin is a board-certified psychiatrist providing compassionate, patient-centered care at Shine Psychiatry. She is committed to building trusted, collaborative partnerships with her patients and delivering exceptional, evidence-based treatment that supports holistic and long-term mental wellness.

Dr. Shin earned her medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where she also completed certificates in Medical Ethics and Humanities. She completed her Psychiatry Residency at Saint Louis University, with additional training in geriatric psychiatry. She is licensed to practice medicine in Texas and is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).

Throughout her career, Dr. Shin has treated complex psychiatric conditions across a broad range of clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, emergency services, consultation-liaison psychiatry, and telepsychiatry. She has also served as a supervisor and mentor to medical students and resident physicians, reflecting her ongoing commitment to education, clinical excellence, and the advancement of psychiatric care.

In addition to her medical training, Dr. Shin holds an MBA in Health Organization Management. This background guides her thoughtful approach to practice design and care delivery, allowing Shine Psychiatry to prioritize efficiency, discretion, and an elevated patient experience while maintaining the highest standards of clinical rigor.

Dr. Shin’s clinical philosophy is holistic, individualized, and collaborative.
